Soup It Forward Initiative
The Soup It Forward Initiative equips our POP families with fresh garden ingredients and wholesome monthly soup recipes to cook at home, and to then share with their neighbors. Our POP families live in a food desert and are engaged in our gardens. They help us tend the gardens, learn how to grow food, and form the heart of our POP community. Farmers Market
Good Local Market at Lakewood Village
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 9am-2pm through October 27th! The farmers market is located at the corner of Mockingbird and Abrams in the Lakewood Village Shopping Center where the Christmas trees typically are during the winter. Surrounded by local brunch spots and businesses, we hope to bring the best of local to Lakewood on Sundays.

The Saint Michael’s Farmers Market is a non-profit community outreach ministry of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church where local farmers, ranchers, and artisans sell directly to our North Dallas neighborhood. Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Avenue at Colgate, Dallas, TX 75225 Every other Saturday, from 8 am – 12 noon.

Okrapalooza 2019 @FARMstock Seed to Table Dinner – Saturday, Sept. 14
Join us for this unique evening as we come together to enjoy an exquisite meal set in the middle of the okra field on the Reeves Family Farm. McGovern Champion of Health Award by the Texas Medical Association Foundation. Promise of Peace promotes gardening, nutrition, and giving in Dallas’ food deserts.
