The SMU Mustang Heroes have volunteered at the POP Gardens since 2010. They returned for the spring season this February and dug right in planting cabbage, onions, and some radish seeds and added soil to the plots. These young leaders are striving to make the planet a better place by volunteering at POP every Tuesday and tending the garden with enthusiasm. As they work they also learn how to grow food and what you can do with the food to incorporate more nutrition and flavor in your life. It’s magical to spend time with these future leaders and hear what they will do with what they learn at the POP Garden. Much gratitude goes out to these young environmentalists.
